So the Preppy Handbook is being updated. It's called "True Prep". It probably doesn't have much of a chance of being as informative/entertaining as the original but I still want to read it. However, if your goal is to create the preppy look, but in a modern way, forget the book.... check out Marc Jacobs Fall 2010 collection instead. The skirt lengths, the fabrics, the mix of sparkle with matte. It's totally cool but seriously refined. No pink and green allowed.

ReplyDeleteThat book was my bible in 6th grade--and my mom GAVE IT AWAY one year during a yard sale or something. I would kill to have the original back on my bookshelf. To Amazon I go!
